What Is It Good For?

Who needs chiropractic?  Who can benefit from it?  Chiropractors are specialists in primary spine care.  The role of a chiropractor is to manage biomechanical spine problems.  Confused yet?  Let's simply things.  Chiropractors conservatively manage spine problems.  If you are having neck pain, back pain, headaches, etc. you may benefit from chiropractic care.  But chiropractic can also offer far reaching health benefits too, above and beyond pain relief.  Interested?  Please look around the rest of our website for all the information!  We hope to see you in the office soon.  Until next time....

The Truth

There are so many misconceptions about chiropractic care.  I will go as far as to say that the average person probably doesn't understand much about it.  Why?  I'm sure there are a multitude of reasons.  For many years, a medical culture existed that was largely antagonistic to chiropractic.  Boy has that changed!  Mainstream medicine, by and large, understands the effectiveness of chiropractic care.  In this day and age of opiod abuse, there has never been a more important time for chiropractic, and most medical doctors understand that.  So what is chiropractic?  And who does it help?  Stay tuned.  Until next time....

Have you been injured?  There are so many choices for care!  So who do you choose?  Well, after all the hype and hyperbole, the choice is actually rather easy.  Choose a doctor who is trauma certified.  What does that mean?  As a trauma certified chiropractor, it means that I have advanced training in a myriad of areas including MRI, neurodiagnostics, crash reconstruction, mild traumatic brain injury, and more.  Is that important?  You bet it is!  Make sure that your medical doctor or chiropractor has the experience and credentials necessary to provide the best in trauma care!  Until next time....

Behind It All

I sincerely hope that every health care provider has only the best of intentions when caring for a patient. There are many different treatment approaches; some more mainstream and others on the "fringe". But I would like to think that the goal for any practitioner is to help people and serve them to the best of our abilities. Personally, I strive for "best practice" patient care, utilizing the most current "evidence-based" methods to help my patients. More and more research is now available to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of the chiropractic adjustment (something that I have witnessed personally for more than 26 years in practice now). However, I also recognize my limitations, and the need for other specialties in caring for patients, and so I regularly refer them to other practitioners when the need arrives. We are all at our collective best when we provide the highest quality of care possible in our specialty, while also acknowledging our limitations, and therefore the need for our patients to receive co-managed care in many instances. Win-win? I think so. Until next time...

Evidence-Based Care

I am both an advocate and supporter of evidenced-based spine care. That means that our research and academic institutions should verify and drive what we as clinicians do in practice. I regularly study research, both inside and outside the chiropractic profession. I am also a member of both chiropractic and medical organizations. My goal is to always stay current with the latest research and clinical offerings available, so that I can provide my patients with the best guidance and care. It is a formidable goal to stay current on primary spine research, but one that is well worth the effort! Until next time.....

Have you injured your neck or back in a work-related accident? We can help! I have been caring for patients involved in work-related accidents for over 25 years. So much has changed since that time, and most of those changes were not favorable for injured folks. Have you noticed how many (or most) primary care and chiropractic doctors no longer accept workers compensation cases? That's why! It's a challenging practice environment! But take heart, because we have the practice experience and clinical expertise to help you navigate it effectively. Injured at work? Call us today. Until next time.....

You Never Know

"But I have had this problem for so long, Doctor.  I'm sure that nothing can help me."  Words like these are commonly spoken in health care offices.  Frankly, after many failed attempts to get better, for many people the sentiment is understandable.  After all, many of these folks feel like they have "tried everything".  Well, the truth is that chiropractic is different.  In fact, chiropractors have been helping people to get out of pain and to regain lost health and vitality for more than 100 years.  Can chiropractic cure everything?  Certainly not.  In fact, chiropractic cures nothing!  The role of chiropractic is to help the body heal itself naturally.  A wise doctor once said......"nature needs no help.  Just no interference."  Those words are still true today.  Chiropractors look to remove that which interferes with healing in the human body.  Got it?  Call us today and together we can decide if chiropractic is a good fit for you and your health care needs.  Until next time.....
